Omega Point Part I: The Descent is the debut album from RISTRIDI’s metal project Omega Point, released in January 2018. The record blends Black Metal with influences from Progressive, Melodic, and Thrash Metal, featuring intense riffs, atmospheric passages, and rich compositional depth. Thematically, the album explores self-doubt, depression, and mental health struggles, born out of a deeply personal emotional crisis. Written, produced, mixed, and mastered by Michael Wöß (RISTRIDI) himself, it also includes contributions from musicians affiliated with bands like Sektor, Sadistic Sacrament, and Battlecreek, making it a versatile and expressive debut that showcases both technical skill and raw emotional power. The Descent runs over eight tracks of evocative and powerful metal that set the foundation for the Omega Point series.
